Boot Mania!!

These boots were made for walkin....

And today proved that. At work, three of my co-workers sported boots. They all wore skinny jeans with them to avoid any bulkiness from gathering at the top of the boot. We all know that's not a good look and not very comfortable. Boot cut and flared jeans usually pair best with flats and heels. With the extra width at the bottom, the boot cut jean provides too much fabric for the boot and in most cases seems to squish the the fabric, creating a messy look.

Each of my co-workers wore a different type of boot. One similarity was that they all had buckles on the side, giving them a more casual feel. Here are a few examples of the boots:

One of my fashionista co-workers was wearing a brown, distressed leather boot which covered her calf. My other stylish amigo also wore a leather boot but with a soft grey patina. And the third had on a black knee-high boot. All of which have an average height of about an inch and a half and an average cost of about $70. Love that!

The Youtube video below explains which style is good for what body type and how to wear them with your favorite jeans. Take a look! I learned a lot from it. There are so many different styles out there!

Boots are a nice addition to any wardrobe as long as you know which style is best for your body shape and height. Just because you saw a statuesque woman walking down the street wearing lovely knee-high stiletto boots, doesn't mean they were meant for you. One must take everything into consideration before spending that hard-earned cash!
