Winter fashion can be tricky. You want to be warm and comfortable, but you also want to stay true to your style. Sometimes this is hard to do, especially since the cost of a coat can be so damn expensive, at least for a decent one.
I've seen a lot of bright colors in various coat styles this winter. Peacoats have definitely been a hot commodity.

If it's is a solid color, you're probably ok. Avoid bold prints on a poofy jacket. The "poof" is enough of a statement.
If it has a rip in it, or the zipper won't close, it may be time to invest in a new one.
